The Lord Anthony St John of Bletso

Anthony qualified as a solicitor in South Africa and graduated with his Masters in Law at London University. He is on the board of several listed and private companies and has spent the last twenty years in the financial services sector.

Since taking up his seat in the House of Lords as a Crossbencher in 1978, he has sat on several EU Sub Committees including Trade, Finance and Foreign Affairs as well as Internal Markets and Deregulation.  He has been an extra Lord in Waiting to Her Majesty The Queen since 1999.

Currently the Vice Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary South Africa Group, Anthony also chairs the Sierra Leone Business Forum.  His parliamentary interests include African Affairs, Deregulation, Financial Services, Environmental Protection and Information Technology.
